(i) Games and Sports:
Games & Sports Activity:
As a part of physical development of the child Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan undertakes different games & sports activity from the school level to SGFI level. Games & Sports are the regular activity in each and every Vidyalaya with the help of Physical Education Teacher alongwith the specially appointed coaches in different field. Every year there will be a school level competition among the different houses to select the best talent and promoted the sportsmanship spirit among the youth. At a regional level all Kendriya vidyalayas are required to participate in different games & Sports activity and consolidate a contingent will participate at National level. Some students are also be selected for SGFI by Govt. of India.
This year Regional Sports Meet of KVS, Silchar Region is going to be held at the following KV.
1. KV Dinjan.
2. KV Duliajan.
3. KV Lumding &
4. KV Sivasagar.
The Regional Level Sports Meet will be held from 24.08.2010 to 26.08.2010. The Coaching Camp of selected students of KVS, Silchar Regin for National Meet will be held w.e.f 08.09.2010. to 28.09.2010 for different events at KV Lunding, KV Sibasagar. KV Dinjan, & Duliajan.. The KVS National Meet will be held at Bangalore Region from 20. 09. 2010 to 26.09.2010. and all games, Athletic & Swimming for girls will be held at Pune (Mumbai Region) From 03.10.2010 to 07.10.2010.
