located at Hospital Road, Silchar. Kendriya Vidyalaya
Sangathan, Regional Office, Silchar is one of the 18
Regional Offices of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
There are 48 Kendriya
Vidyalayas with 24299 students (Boys-13704 and Girls-10595)
as on 31.05.2009
under the jurisdiction of this region spread
over different parts of State of Assam, Manipur, Tripura,
Nagaland, Mizoram & Arunachal Pradesh Out of 48 Kendriya
Vidyalayas, there are 09 Kendriya Vidyalayas in Defense
Sector, 11 in Project Sector, 28 in Civil Sector
